ServiceSource March Volunteer Updates

Published in In the News

Ability Experience
On the weekend of April 6-8, ServiceSource will be welcoming a team from the Ability Experience for the second year in a row. The group of 35+ college students from across the country, who are all part of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, will be working to improve our Neighborhood Place location. Projects include staining the backyard fence they replaced last year, building of raised garden beds, re-painting activity rooms and building other recreational items for the participants to enjoy. This weekend is being made possible not only by their manpower, but also through the generous awarding of a $5K grant to cover the cost of all necessary supplies.
National Volunteer Recognition Week
On Thursday, April 12, the Volunteer Services Team will be recognizing the valuable work of our volunteers by hosting the 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at our Oakton location. This event is in conjunction with National Volunteer Week from April 15-21.
