Retirement…we dream of it, plan for it, and it will bring many years of satisfaction to our lives. The same is true for individuals with disabilities. ServiceSource’s Senior Program is designed for individuals with disabilities who have worked either in the community or in center-based programs. Funded through a contract with the Delaware Division of Developmental Disability Services, the center provides meaningful activities in a relaxing atmosphere, where participants can enjoy life following retirement from community or center-based work programs.
Program Highlights:
Providing services for individuals with disabilities AFTER work is a part of the service continuum offered by the ServiceSource Delaware Regional Office. The Dover Senior Program offers innovative programs such as the Red Hat Society and the Guys Derby Racers Club provide gender-specific bonding and social interaction opportunities. Other programs include the Academy of Lifelong Learning, ballroom dancing, cooking class and computer skills. These and other programs are part of the services offered by the Dover Senior Program that create opportunities for seniors with disabilities to be part of their local communities.
