About Us

The mission of Employment Source is to provide individuals with disabilities an exceptional service delivery experience through innovative and valued employment, training, rehabilitation, and support services. 

In 2001, we affiliated with ServiceSource, a nonprofit organization with a mission to facilitate services and partnerships to support people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and community members to build more inclusive communities. ServiceSource comprises multiple affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working in concert to build more inclusive communities for people with disabilities. Each affiliate is a separate legal entity led by an executive director with deep community connections and expertise.

In partnership with the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Works for Me Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program offers students with disabilities the opportunity to develop work readiness skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for the future.

Through a collaboration with the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Alliance Health, we place adults with disabilities in full and part-time jobs throughout North Carolina.

Expressive Therapies

Each year hundreds of individuals in our Community Integration Services program participate in expressive and recreational therapies including art, dance, music and yoga therapy and therapeutic horseback riding. These therapies help build and maintain critical expressive, motor and memory skills.

Employment Source is committed to creating opportunities for people with disabilities and providing customized business solutions to government and commercial customers.

As an affiliate of SerivceSource, we are one of five organizations supporting exceptional service delivery to more than 40 federal agencies nationwide while providing competitive integrated employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Our solutions meet a wide range of business needs, including administrative services, mail center operations, total facilities management, and more.

Bloom Farmers Market at Friendship House

  • Date: Every Monday, June 8 -August 26
  • Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Details: The Bloom Farmers Market, located at 200 Highland Ave., features live music, fresh produce, local vendors, and handcrafted items made by Artisans with disabilities in our Bloom program. 

Golf-A-Ritaville Classic

  • Date: Saturday, August 17

2024 Service Excellence Awards Dinner

  • Date: Thursday, October 17 
  • Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Details: This event recognizes the outstanding achievements of our workforce who demonstrate excellence on the job while providing essential services to our community.
