U. S. Congressman Charlie Crist Visits Florida Programs
On April 9, U. S. Congressman Charlie Crist (D-Fla. District 13) visited ServiceSource Florida. Congressman Crist toured the Veterans Mall and Opportunity Calls, greeted volunteers and board members, learned about our services and listened to veterans’ testimonials. Shown with Warrior Bridge program manager Grant Collins, Abilities Foundation trustee Richard Winning, and ServiceSource Board of Directors Treasurer Franke Burke, Crist was highly complementary of our programs.
“This is a community that really does care about its people, and a country that cares a great deal about our veterans,” said Crist, “and for what you all are doing for them, we can never thank you enough… So, from a grateful country, thank you and God bless you for what you are doing. It’s great. Just great.
Underscoring Crist’s sentiments was Warrior Bridge veteran Paul Mabry who thanked Clarke and Collins for helping restore his confidence as he transitions from military to civilian life.
We are most appreciative of Crist’s time and kind words. Many thanks to Grant Collins for arranging the visit, and congressional aides Chloe Kessock, press assistant, and Gershom Faulkner, outreach director and military director for their cooperation and coordination.
