Service Excellence in Employment Awards Banquet

On October 17, ServiceSource welcomed more than 400 people to the 34th Annual Service Excellence in Employment Awards Banquet in Washington, DC. We were proud to recognize 95 exceptional employees who represent 44 different contract and program sites.

Congratulations to the employees who achieved exceptional workplace or personal success and received high honors this year:

  • Fred Pickett, Inaugural Fred Hawk Advocacy Award
  • Venus Liggins, Placement Employee of the Year Award
  • Vicki Roscoe, Participant Employee of the Year Award
  • The Behavioral Health Employment and Educational team of Emily Wilson, Brian Dillon, Leslie Lass, Emily Hoban and Lauren Goldschmidt for Staff Team Employees of the Year

ServiceSource Delaware

ServiceSource Delaware kicked off the corporate wide 2019 Service Excellence Awards (SEAs) event on October 9! More than 350 people gathered to celebrate the exemplary accomplishments of this year’s 18 awardees. Individuals are selected for an SEA based on their outstanding personal achievements and their ability to make positive contributions to strengthen their communities.

Special congratulations to two individuals for receiving our Employee of the Year honors.

  • Ashley Beaumont, Community Placement Employee of the Year
  • Jonathan Minor, AbilityOne Employee of the Year

We also congratulated two community partners: our Employer of the Year, Aramark at University of Delaware, and our Community Partner of the Year, New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District. Each has partnered with us to positively impact the lives of the people we serve.

As we continue to celebrate our 62nd year of service to the Delaware community, we remain focused on the positive impact made by individuals with disabilities and the skills and talents they share with us every day.

ServiceSource North Carolina

ServiceSource North Carolina celebrated 32 award winners on  October 24 at the Service Excellence Awards. We were honored to recognize the hard work and dedication each awardee put in to achieve success.

A special shout-out to the three employees who received distinctive awards for their accomplishments this year:

  • Jonah Williams – Staff Employee of the Year
  • Alphonso Huff – Community Placement Employee of the Year
  • Deborah Kelley – AbilityOne Employee of the Year

ServiceSource Florida

An impressive array of community partners, businesses, employees, and people with disabilities were honored for their contributions and achievements at ServiceSource Florida’s 2019 Service Excellence Awards Luncheon on November 8 at the Marriott Sand Key in Clearwater Beach. 

With great excitement, four individuals were recognized with Service Excellence Awards:

  • Jacqueline Horton (Pinellas County High School High Tech);
  • Justin Pirollo (Pepin Academies-Pasco High School High Tech);
  • Theresa Reid (Homes For Independence);
  • Sharon Costello (Grand Villa Senior Living Community)

Three employees were honored as our Placement Employees of the Year:

  • Ian Hennick (Supported Employment);
  • James Varela (Warrior Bridge);
  • Kevin Root (Vocational Rehabilitation)

Also recognized for exemplary support of our mission were our Community Partners of the Year: Derek Arnold of Goodwill Industries, Suncoast and Marvin Thoroughman of Largo Medical Center. Community Employer of the Year honors went to Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club. Staff Employees of the Year, Sarah Hendricks, Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor, and Chuck Smith, Opportunity Calls Program Manager were also recognized.

Special thanks to our Emcee, Ann Kelly, from WDUV-FM The Dove Radio and Frank Burke, Treasurer, ServiceSource Board of Directors, who presented an exceptional State of the Corporation followed by compelling accounts of accomplishments.

Also acknowledged for their longtime, invaluable contributions to the ServiceSource mission were recent retirees, David Hodge, former Chief Financial Officer, and Scott Kuebler, Vice President of Safety and Risk Management.
