Non-Profit of the Year Nominee
ServiceSource Virginia is excited to announce that we have been nominated for Non-Profit of the Year in the Greater Washington Good Business Awards. Presented by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Washington Good Business Awards honor and celebrate the leadership of individuals, businesses, and non-profits that serve as powerful champions for good in our community.
“From corporate social responsibility champions to non-profit organizations that help solve the region’s greatest challenges, the Greater Washington Good Business Awards honor purposeful community leadership, efforts that make a positive impact, and those that do good.”
The Non-Profit of the Year Award is presented to a Greater Washington region non-profit for outstanding and visionary contributions to the community during the past year. This award recognizes community impact, particularly as it relates to the Greater Washington region.
ServiceSource has a 48-year history of providing services and supports to people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers across Northern Virginia. Through advocacy, strategic partnerships, cross-collaborative initiatives, ambassadorship, and engagement with community members we deliver effective solutions that support the personal and professional growth of more than 4,500 Northern Virginians each year. Core Programs in Virginia include:
- Employment Programs: Empowering individuals with disabilities through employment and supports to meet their career goals.
- Long-Term & Community Integration Services: Building skills; providing medical/behavioral supports; and supporting the personal growth of adults with disabilities.
- Specialized Services: Including Family Support Services; Senior Services; Assistive Technology; and other customized programs to help people thrive.
Winners will be announced on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s Corner in front of an audience of 600+ leaders including the region’s top senior executives, political leaders, business professionals, entrepreneurs and emerging young professionals.
