About the Program

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) is a program designed to provide in-school youth industry-based career exploration. Through a partnership with the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, ServiceSource North Carolina’s Works for Me program offers pre-employment services to students who have either an IEP or a 504 Plan. The Pre-ETS program gives students the opportunity to develop work readiness skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for their future.

Through this program, ServiceSource partners with local businesses to provide participants hands-on employment exploration and job skill development through paid internships in the community. ServiceSource staff works with the students to develop unique job and assessment opportunities based on their individual interests. In addition, students earn a wage while working in the community.
