Donor Restricted Campaigns:
Your Donations at Work!
- The $1 for $1, five-year, match campaign to create a $5 million Community Assistance Endowment was initiated in December 2017. The goal of the campaign is to raise $2.5 million from donors. The creation of an Endowment is driven by the needs of individuals and families or caregivers who often require resources for support, programs and/or unique needs that arise. The Endowment provides a permanent, long-term funding mechanism that will be available to provide resources for needs that have no other funding source long into the future.Supports may include, but not be limited to, respite care, companion care services, assistive technology, certification or classroom training for employment or life enrichment, transportation support or therapy services such as speech, occupational or physical therapy. For donors who are interested in establishing a legacy gift in honor or in memory of someone, a contribution that is equal to or greater than $100,000 is the threshold for establishing a designated “Named Scholarship.” During the $1 for $1 match campaign, donors must provide or pledge to provide $50,000 to the Endowment campaign, which when matched will meet the $100,000 threshold. The match campaign runs through December of 2022.For more information on the Endowment, contact firstname.lastname@example.org

At your death, your assets will pass to potentially three places: taxes, your loved one and/or the charities you support. To maximize the legacy you leave to your heirs and charities you care about, consider leaving assets that receive a tax beneficial step up in basis, such as appreciated real estate and stock, to your heirs. And consider leaving your retirement assets such as 401(k)s, 403(b)s and IRAs to The ServiceSource Foundation. If left to your heirs, retirement assets are oftentimes 100 percent taxable, however, if left to a charity such as ServiceSource, the retirement assets are not taxed. Step up in basis is the readjustment of the value of an appreciated asset for tax purposes upon inheritance, determined to be the higher market value of the asset at the time of inheritance.
Creating a legacy through legacy giving is easy to do. Simply include The ServiceSource Foundation in your will or Trust using the language below, or designate The ServiceSource Foundation as the beneficiary of your account or life insurance policy. Please let us know of your intent so that we can keep a record on file. Intent is non-binding and can be changed at any time. To maximize the benefit to you, consider talking to a financial advisor or click here to review information on our Planned Giving Website.

Include ServiceSource in Your Estate Plan
You can make a specific gift to the Foundation of cash, securities, real estate or other property through your will, codicil or trust instrument. You can also designate the Foundation as the beneficiary of all or part of the remainder of your estate or trust after the payment of estate-related expenses, other bequests, or following the death of a spouse or other primary beneficiaries. Another way to include the Foundation in your estate plan is to name the organization as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy.
A bequest or trust provision for the benefit of the Foundation may qualify your estate for an estate tax charitable deduction.
Sample Testamentary Language
“I give (_______ dollars) or (a specific asset, such as securities, real estate or other property) or (all) or
(_______ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to the ServiceSource Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia
( for its general purposes) or ( for the following purpose: ______________________________________).”
Unrestricted gifts allow the Foundation to allocate funds to areas of greatest need. If you prefer, you may designate your bequest for a particular purpose or use by a specific program or activity at the Foundation. In order to ensure that the evolving needs of future generations of participants are met, it is advisable to include the following language with restricted gifts: If due to changed circumstances it becomes impractical, in the judgment of the ServiceSource Foundation, to apply my bequest to the designated purpose(s), the ServiceSource Foundation may apply some or all of my bequest to such other purposes as it determines will best recognize my interests consistent with its organizational priorities.
If you wish to document your bequest intention at this time, please complete our Bequest Intention Form.
For more detailed information on including the Foundation in your estate plan, please contact:

Wild West Bourbon Classic for a Cause
In light of the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to cancel or postpone in-person events, we have made the decision to postpone the Wild West Bourbon Classic for a Cause that had been scheduled for May 15, 2020 in St. Petersburg, FL. We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates on the event once decisions are made to confirm a new date.
We want to thank our generous sponsors who support this decision and have committed to continue their support.
