About PARC

The Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC) Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities in the Clearfield, Utah, affiliated with ServiceSource, Inc. on January 1, 2020. ServiceSource is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to facilitate services and partnerships to support people with disabilities, their families, their caregivers and community members in order to build more inclusive communities. PARC becomes the sixth affiliated not-for-profit organization that is part of the ServiceSource network, with regional offices in Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and now Utah.

History of PARC

PARC was developed as a business unit of the Davis School District in 1974. In 2011, the PARC Community Foundation was established as a legal entity to continue to augment services to people with disabilities within the community. Bruce Patterson, ServiceSource CEO, shared, “I am excited to welcome PARC to the ServiceSource family. Over the years, PARC has developed into a robust service organization for transitioning youth and adults with disabilities with a variety of employment services and day programs. This strategic affiliation brings tremendous value to both organizations.”

PARC provides employment and other services to individuals with disabilities by operating affirmative employment contracts with the Federal government under the AbilityOne Program and state government under the Utah state use program.  PARC is accredited by CARF, the Accreditation Agency, for the services that it provides to more than 400 individuals annually.

Affiliation Process

“This affiliation helps to strengthen PARC’s services long into the future. As we separate from the Davis School District, we recognize that PARC is a strong and innovative entity providing services that are far different and broader than that which is offered in the educational model. The opportunity to join the ServiceSource team provides resources and experience that will help PARC continue to expand and diversify our scope of services long into the future. We are thrilled to be part of the ServiceSource family and to expand our reputation of delivering exceptional services to the great state of Utah. The team at ServiceSource shares our deep commitment to serving individuals with disabilities and empowering individuals to meet their personal and professional goals,” commented Ken Naegle, PARC’s Executive Director.
