Over 40 Years of Experience
ServiceSource is a leading and highly accomplished AbiltyOne service provider. We have over 40 years of experience providing contract services to the Federal Government, Department of Defense (DoD), and all branches of the military. Within our current portfolio of services, we manage 80 contracts that have operations across 30 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. ServiceSource’s five regional offices serve more than 27,000 people with disabilities and share a mission to facilitate services and partnerships to support people with disabilities, their families, their caregivers and community members in order to build more inclusive communities.
During this pandemic, our team of essential employees is 1,400 strong. They are individuals and veterans with disabilities who are hard at work maintaining mission-critical operations for multiple government agencies that directly support Americans. They are feeding military members, cleaning federal installations, protecting infrastructure, manning call centers and delivering mail. We salute their efforts and hard work and recognize their critical contributions.
ServiceSource continues to ensure our essential employees with disabilities have the protections they need to stay safe while performing their duties, including the most updated guidance, personal protective equipment (PPE), oversight and support. For those employees who are at higher risk and/or have chosen to stay home, we are supporting them too, and look forward to the time everyone feels comfortable returning to work. We have developed policies related to essential employee best practices, following the latest guidance from state and local officials and have also created a virtual training to ensure our essential workforce understands the proper protocols surrounding use, care and storage of PPE.
ServiceSource is honored to showcase the commitment of our essential employees on the frontlines during the public health emergency we are all facing. They deserve our support, our thanks, and our commitment to keep their jobs safe while we all weather this storm.
Essential Operations In Action
Mark Center, Alexandria, VA
ServiceSource continues to operate the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Total Facilities Management contract at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Under this contract, 120 people with disabilities are employed to provide facility operations and management, custodial services, loading dock and delivery operations on a 24x7x365 basis. These responsibilities are essential in maintaining continuity of operations for this 2.2 million square foot LEED Gold certified federal complex. The Mark Center houses 6,400 uniform and civilian government employees and is home to 25 DoD agencies. ServiceSource is proud to provide them in partnership with CW Resources and M.C. Dean.
During this pandemic, operations at the Mark Center have been adjusted in order to maintain social distancing guidelines, including staggered workforce hours and reduced shifts. Personnel also utilize OSHA recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the job. “Our employees are essential to ensure that the Mark Center building remains operational so that the critical business of the Federal Government can continue. I have never been prouder of our team as I am today” said Don Pincus, Senior Vice President Operations.
Hill Force Force Base, Utah
In addition, PARC, ServiceSource’s affiliate headquartered in Clearfield, UT operates three contracts at Hill Air Force Base – one custodial and two recycling. Our Hill Air Force Base team was recently honored by the Base Commander General who recognized the ServiceSource team for ensuring the health and safety of mission essential U.S. military members. “Thank you for your service and for keeping the mission moving. Your team plays a key role in our ability to return to full capacity,” said Base Commander General, Arnold W. Bunch Jr., U.S. Air Force. In total, our Hill Air Force Base contract employs 84 people with disabilities. We have held the custodial contract since 1998 and were awarded both recycling contracts in 2010.
Fort Bragg, North Carolina
In honoring our essential employees, ServiceSource is proud to recognize a ServiceSource employee who is using his personal time and resources to help manufacture PPE to combat this pandemic. Rocky Mintz is a Mechanic on our Grounds Maintenance contract at Fort Bragg, NC.
At the start of the public health emergency, Rocky answered the call to use his 3D printer to help North Carolina State University reduce PPE shortages for state healthcare systems. He and other volunteers generated hundreds of face shields that were sent directly to the WakeMed and REX healthcare systems. He then shifted his in-home production to create bands that relieve pressure from the elastic straps on N95 masks that healthcare workers wear all day.
