Governmental and Other Resources – The Department of Veterans Affairs – The NRD or National Resource Directory is a database of validated resources that supports recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration for service members, veterans, family members, and caregivers. – Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E). An online employment resource center for veterans, including videos explaining VR&E’s services and programs, links for job searching, current and direct employment opportunities and helpful resume and interview resources. – United States Office of Personnel Management. Contains a wealth of information for veterans who are returning to the workforce, including information on eligibility for benefits and application processes. – Raising Awareness About PTSD – A Resource Guide  –  Information about Veterans and mesothelioma. – Understanding a Veteran with PTSD – VFW Unmet Needs Program. This program provides financial aid grants of up to $1,500 to assist military families who have run into unexpected financial difficulties as a result of deployment or other military-related activity or injury. Assistance is made in the form of a grant – not a loan – so no repayment is required.
