Hurricane Florence: Site Closings & Protocol

Return to Work Status

September 17, 4:30 PM:

The North Carolina Ames Street Office will be OPEN on Tuesday, September 18. Staff may have care giving responsibilities (due to school closures, etc.) and will need to remain at home.  Please contact your supervisor regarding your status.

Also, we emphasize DO NOT travel to the office unless you are sure you have safe driving conditions to the office. If you are unsure of road conditions, please check and download: ReadyNC, a mobile application. The ReadyNC mobile app is an all-in-one tool to help people get ready for everything from traffic jams to hurricanes and ice storms. The app gives information on real-time traffic and weather conditions, river levels, evacuations and power outages.

Contract Site Closures

Please be sure to check your email, communicate with your supervisors, and check this website where we will provide updates regarding announced site closures and the resumption of services. Please continue to check your email and our website for status updates regarding building closures. For government contract sites please stay in direct contact with your supervisor regarding any delays or site closures. We will also be posting a list on our website with updates for open/closures of all government contract sites.

Your safety is paramount, if your site is open please use caution to ensure that you have a safe transportation route to your work site.
