About the Program
Our Employment Support for Parents program serves parents who are unemployed and looking to return to the workforce, make a career change, earn a higher wage or a combination of these goals.
Through our programs in partnership with the Department of Social Services and The SkillSource Group, ServiceSource provides individualized support to parents to include:
- Exploring different career fields to learn about your interests, skills, and experience
- Researching and navigating funding options for training opportunities
- Accessing resources to remove barriers to employment
- Tailoring resumes and cover letters and completing applications
- Networking with employers to understand business needs and learn about job openings
- Preparing for interviews
- Maintaining employment and continuing to grow skills
Eligibility
- Individual must support at least one minor dependent child
- Live in Fairfax County, City of Falls Church, City of Fairfax, Prince William County, Stafford County or the City of Fredericksburg
- Be interested and motivated to find employment
- Meet the income guidelines listed below:
