Youth Transition Services |
ServiceSource assists youth with disabilities transition from school to work through a number of different programs. Programs provide internship experiences, job skills training, career planning and other customized supports to assist transitioning youth with disabilities to reach their goals of integrated employment in competitive industries.
Broadened Horizons, Brighter Futures
The Broadened Horizons Brighter Futures Program (BHBF) serves youth in Miami-Dade County is operated out of ServiceSource's regional office in Clearwater, Florida. Funded by the Social Security Administration (SSA). This project is a one-of-a-kind national evaluation initiative to help youth and young adults with disabilities gain employment and become self-sufficient citizens. High School/High Tech (HS/HT)
HS/HT is a community-based partnership that provides high school students with all types of disabilities, ages 14- 22, the opportunity to explore jobs and post-secondary education leading to technology-related careers. The program is funded in Florida by The Able Trust, a nonprofit foundation providing employment support for Floridians with disabilities and supported by the Florida Department of Education's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. FrameWORK for Success
Funded by the Brandywine School District and the New Castle County Vocational Technical School District, this program serves youth with disabilities, 18 to 21 years old, who are interested in learning work skills and exploring options in preparation for adult life. Working closely with students and the school district, we coordinate work experiences with local businesses and work adjustment training at ServiceSource to assist the students to discover their unique vocational talents and gifts, promote inclusion in the community and provide a foundation from which students can build upon in making post-secondary educational and career decisions. Partners With Industry (PWI)
Funded by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund the Partners with Industry (PWI) program delivers employment services to young adults with disabilities (ages 17 to 25) transitioning into the workplace. In partnership with business and industry in Delaware, PWI staff provides the tools, knowledge and resources to assist program participants to find jobs, keep jobs and advance in their careers.
