Warrior Bridgeis a national initiative to provide a range of support for wounded and injured veterans as they reintegrate into civilian life. Warrior Bridge is committed to supporting our returning heroes by directly hiring veterans, helping veterans obtain competitive employment, and focusing especially on the unique needs of women warriors. The program provides employment services and support to enhance independence and improve quality of life for veterans with all disabilities, especially servicemen and women of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Warrior Bridge has successfully assisted over 450 veterans with employment and support. In the past year alone:
              •  We hired more than 130 veterans
We served 240 veterans with injuries, offering assistance with obtaining
                 competitive employment and other services

Veterans Employment and Outreach Program (VEOP)

""The Veterans Employment and Outreach Program (VEOP) has provided employment services for veterans with injuries in Tampa Bay, Florida, for the past three years. Since July of 2010, this program has served over 70 veterans with injuries. Sixty-five (65) percent of the veterans served are returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF). Services include assistance with obtaining employment, access to legal services, transportation and basic living needs. This program is made possible by The Able Trust, Abilities Foundation, Florida Veterans Foundation and Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust

Employment Opportunities on Government and Commercial Contracts

ServiceSource currently employs 136 veterans. Seventy (70) of these veterans have significant disabilities and are employed on our contracts, including 10 women veterans.

Future Initiatives

We are committed to providing Wounded Warriors and their families a broad array of services to improve the quality of life and transition to life outside of the Armed Forces. We will increase the number of Warriors served and expand the range of services by establishing Warrior Bridge offices in three current service areas. Our goal is to establish at least three offices, which will be located near Fairfax, Virginia; Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Tampa/Clearwater, Florida. These offices would be strategically located near large populations of Wounded Warriors, military bases, medical centers and supporting ServiceSource programs. These offices will be the cornerstones of Warrior Bridge expansion and will help bring together a broad range of programs and services to Wounded Warriors.
