In 2011, ServicSource was selected to provide Base Operations Support (BOS) services to the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.
The Mark Center, which is being developed as part of the congressionally authorized BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) realignment process, will bring 6,400 Department of Defense (DoD) jobs to Alexandria, Virginia this year. The award of the Base Operations Support (BOS) Contract to an AbilityOne authorized non-profit agency means that the new campus will also provide jobs to more than 200 individuals with disabilities.
ServiceSource is working with CW Resources of New Britain, Connecticut and M.C. Dean and Southland Industries from Dulles, Virginia to provide total facilities management services for the Mark Center Campus. Services include:
- General facilities maintenance and repair
- Custodial
- Security services
- Roads and grounds maintenance
- Customer Support
- Materials handling
- Infrastructure support and maintenance
- Electrical and mechanical
ServiceSource is teaming up with Able Forces, Inc. of Front Royal, Virginia to ensure that this landmark contract is giving back to our nation's heroes by providing work for veterans with disabilities. Able Forces is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit providing professional, career-oriented employment exclusively to Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans.
The Mark Center BOS Contract is the largest in the history of the AbilityOne East Region, worth approximately $20 million/year.
