ServiceSource Welcomes New Board Members

Alexandria, Va., September 28, 2012 — ServiceSource announced the election of James Carroll, Christine Cintron, Julie Weeks Rufenacht and Paul Thieberger to the Board of Directors. Carroll is president and CEO of Crestline Hotels & Resorts in Fairfax, Va. Cintron is vice president of Applied Bank in Newark, Del. Rufenacht is executive vice president of Watermark Homes in Fayetteville, N.C. and Thieberger is president of K & B Plumbing, a mechanical contracting company in Lorton, Va. ServiceSource provides employment, training, rehabilitation, housing and support services to individuals with disabilities in nine states and the District of Columbia.

James Carroll joins ServiceSource’s board due to his brother’s long-term participation in ServiceSource’s center-based employment program. ServiceSource has also placed individuals with disabilities in jobs providing mailroom support at Barceló Crestline, which Carroll leads as president and CEO.

Christine Cintron became affiliated with ServiceSource in 1999, when she joined the board of Service Source’s Delaware Regional Office (formerly known as OCI), a leading provider of rehabilitation services throughout the state. Cintron previously served on a ServiceSource advisory board for a program providing employment services to young adults with disabilities in Delaware.

Julie Weeks Rufenacht has been an advocate for students with disabilities in Cumberland County, N.C., having established the first Special Education PTA Council in the school district. She previously served on the Cumberland County Exceptional Children’s Parent Advisory Council and Board of Directors for Cumberland County District PTA Council and is the current Chairperson for the Special Education PTA Council. Rufenacht is also a lifelong member of the Hay Street United Methodist Church and sits on the board of directors for the Fayetteville Museum of Art.

Paul Thieberger was introduced to the special needs community at a young age. His sisters, who have disabilities, have participated in ServiceSource programs for many years. Thieberger became involved with ServiceSource by attending friends and family meetings where he interacted with program participants and staff. He is also on the Board of Trustees for Rising Hope United Methodist Mission Church in Alexandria, Va., and was previously the President of the Alexandria Neighborhood Citizen's Association.
