Treasure Coast Team Receives Awards

On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's Area 3 (Orlando) conducted its Annual Continuing Education Day Training and Awards event (ACED).  The entire ServiceSource Florida Regional VR Core Services staff that serves Florida’s Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach and Stuart) attended the State’s awards ceremony in Orlando.

The Florida Regional VR Core Services Unit 20A under the leadership of Tina Herzik received an award for being the top producing unit in the entire area in last year fiscal year. Last year, Unit 20A closed 145 successful “rehabilitations” through third-party placement outcomes. This was more than any other unit in the Orlando area.  “I am very proud of my staff for this accomplishment, and it was a great honor since we are the largest and one of the first private provider offices in the State of Florida,” stated Tina.   Mr. Wayne Olson, Area 3 Director presented the award to the Unit staff.   All the Treasure Coast staff were recognized with Good Job Letters and the Florida DVR Sapphire award.

In addition to the Unit Award, Ms. Herzik was given a Sapphire Award for her outstanding leadership. “It was a great day!  It was a wonderful day for the ServiceSource and the Florida DVR Private Provider program”.

Unit 20A is one of five VR Core Services Units in Florida that include Lake City, Gainesville, Jacksonville and Miami.
