ServiceSource Offers Tax Preparation Assistance |
This tax season, the ServiceSource Florida Regional Office is partnering with the National Disability Institute's Real Economic Impact Tour and the United Way of Tampa Bay to be a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) virtual tax preparation site for people with disabilities and/or low incomes. Virtual VITA allows individuals to use the latest computer technology to connect with an IRS certified volunteer remotely. Appointments will start on Tuesday, January 31 and run through Tuesday, April 17th.

Virtual VITA Florida is being implemented in collaboration between National Disability Institute's Real Economic Impact Tour and United Way of Tampa Bay with eight community based organizations participating in five counties. The goal of Virtual VITA is to increase access to taxpayers with disabilities by providing an alternative option to free tax filing services.
